"The Knife" explores transition, rebirth, and a harkening back to old-world belief systems and cultural imperatives revolving around nature and the changing of the seasons. We experience the flicker from lightness to darkness both daily and throughout the grand course of our lives. Women and men revolve in orbit around each other with equal influence on gravitational pull. The blade represents a the tool that can be used to cut through layers of confusion or forgotten memories. It signifies the destruction of binding material whether it be skin or fabric.
