Listen- I don't care that the early story tells you that Tsubasa 'doesn't want to see herself as a charity case' and that's why she dismisses this situation, in this case Takumi's right and he should say it. Her mother totally screwed the pooch here and didn't even think to give her daughter closure on this let alone get her to therapy or something? There's no way that running her daughter into the ground to the point of longstanding trauma was remotely necessary to have her find her true calling. The fact that Tsubasa has been forced to internalise this is straight up disturbing. The special interest that gave her peace is needlessly fucking tainted by the proverbial 'ooze' of her anxiety disorder because it has twisted that love against her.
Like what the hell is good about this. Spending so much time avoiding something related to your interest because of a bone-deep terror you're going to fail that lives in your gut forever. And it's something you LOVE, and WANT to do- and are GOOD at.
