Thank you for the tag @honeydukesheroine! When I need a break and want to write snappy light fluff to escape Egypt diaries and stuff, I have an Everyone Lives AU in my WIP folder. Here are seven lines (lines, not sentences, they're short.)

So I was thinking in the shower, as one does, about James being the Potter Heir but still have black blood.

Then I remembered that it was actually a common practice to adopt an heir into the main branch of the family when the Lord and Lady are unwilling/unable to produce a suitable/male heir.

So Euphie and Flea were like oh no we can't have kids and so because they must continue on the Potter Line adopted James as their heir.

And we can enjoy all the fun of having Sirius and James being first cousins and explain away Harry being touched in the head. Because haven't you heard, all Blacks are mad, it's just how the madness manifests.
