So there's this thing no one seems to understand...
Everyone goes on about Hufflepuffs and either defend them violently or criticise them for being the potato house.
But here's the thing: I think I know why people hate on us, and it's just about the most motivational PuffPride thing ever. It's this:
*As Hufflepuffs, we f**king terrify people*
You wanna know my reasoning?
Most days in my life, somebody hates on me as a person or tries to put me down, because I scare people. I dare to love others, to be kind to strangers and stick by my friends no matter what, because buddy if you fuck with my beautiful flowers I will literally MURDER you. And that scares people. Like, a lot.
Kindness is staring the world in the face and giving social rules the middle finger. Loyalty is watching the backstabbing that goes on in the world and saying "You know what? Whether it's normal or not, whether it's likely to happen to me or not, I'm here to stay." Hard work is defeating Procrastination, which I'm sure most people will agree is the hardest thing to beat in modern society. Being a Hufflepuff, therefore, is staring at the trappings of social laws, the fear of others hurting you and the fucking BANE of the modern world full in the face and saying "You know what? Fuck you! I'm going to be different."
And anyone that can beat procrastination and fuck with social laws is someone who is firstly scary and secondly different. And when humans see something they're afraid of, they automatically try and crush it and put it down, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
But the thing is with Hufflepuffs, we are SO different that we just keep on staying who we are no matter what. So maybe we scare you, but maybe that's a good thing.
I'm not really sure where I was going with this, but I hope y'all can relate to this sort-of-revalation.
