So, in the very early days of this blog, I had done a couple of author recs but have neglected to do so since. And today seems like a good day to reinstate it, I’ll try to do these regularly now. Today, I’m going with:

Her fics aren’t always situated within canon, but her writing style and concepts are so brilliant and somehow fit into the characterisations perfectly well. Some of my favourite fics:

Running In Circles, rated M

Summary: What happens when Hermione and Ron get stuck in the routine of life? What happens to their love? Written for the Pi Day Challenge on HPFC. This has no shortage of angst, but it is worthwhile angst. 

This was one of the first fics by Caryn that I read, and I still love it. Math is awful and horrible and a pain in the arse, but she made it sound poetic and romantic! Warning: It’s quite angsty, but it’s worth it.

Revelations on a Summer Morning, rated T

Summary: Hermione contemplates her favorite season.

This is sweet and just plain beautiful. 

Meeting Again, rated T

Summary: Prompt - ‘We had a one night stand and now you are the TA for my least favourite class’ AU

I love a good AU fic and this one’s so great. We don’t have nearly enough cute fluffy Romione AUs. Also, there’s Artist Ron in this! My favourite headcanon.

I’m such a sucker for angst, but Caryn does both fluff and angst equally well. Her Seamus/Dean fics are brilliant too, if you are interested in reading those.
