and I'm renaming Alex to Hugh and instead of a farmer he's a landscaper who also runs a plant nursery and he

used to be a pretty shitty person until he did something so wrong that it snapped him out of his npc behavior and

he unfortunately falls in love with Ferdie who cannot commit to him or say "I love you" and it's like karmic retribution for his former bad behavior and now he

is looking for a third in his polycule so his love life feels complete but is worried his new crush

will consider his situationship with Ferdie a dealbreaker when he's already fully aware of the issues but isn't willing to ever release his sense of responsibility to care for Ferdie,

especially in a world where no one else would ever care for Ferdie.
