i do think any movement that says the only way to be liberated is to separate entirely from anyone who isnt like you will not only lead you to overlook bigotry and harm in your own communities but will also never create a space where those people can just exist. there will always be women in society with other people. there will always be gay and trans people in society with other people. there will always poc in society with everyone else. there will always be disabled people in society with everyone else. if one group separates they give people two choices: leave and stop fighting for a better life, or suffer where you already are. and that will not save us

What pisses me off the most is that y'all don't keep this doomerism to yourself, it would be one thing if you just wrote this shit in a diary, but y'all are putting that out there trying to scare young trans people into being divided. spreading the idea that trans unity is an "unobtainable fantasy" only serves to make trans people feel even more alone and desperate than before, during a time where being united will give us strength.

Trans people should be encouraged to find safety and community in one another, and not just with trans people that are "like them."

What's so unobtainable about it like literally just don't be a jerk to trans people who aren't your gender. It's not hard. I go around not being a jerk to people who are slightly different to me every single day. "Oooh we share so many common struggles and the things that help us help all of us, but I experience some things they don't and they experience some things I don't and therefore we must fight each other to the death and that'll help us somehow" these people need to grow the fuck up and stop believing in cooties.

Also like. Re: the ask complaining about my mom, there are certainly white parents of wasian children who are wonderful and supportive! And quite honestly my mom is most of the time, it's just a big issue when white people married to people of color think love is enough to undo whatever biases they may have grown up and been socialized with. Big issue with liberal white people especially, I've found. I do believe my parents are in love and stuff but it's that unwillingness to listen that really gets to me!

their big eggs are actually that size for a similar reason to human babies having massive heads!! being bigger at birth can be important.

kiwi are trying SO HARD to become mammals. fur-like feathers, whisker-like feathers, little beady eyes, nocturnal, great sense of smell.... that's basically a mammal!! they're well suited for life on the forest floor.

their big eggs work alongside these adaptations to give them a leg up in the bird world. their young hatch already feathered! they're precocial, which means they're born with the ability to open their eyes and move around. like foals.

big egg = more powerful offspring from the get-go. babies don't need to spend precious time vulnerable while they develop on the ground when they've already done all that in the egg!

(unfortunately, with the introduction of mammals to aotearoa, these adaptations are a little less useful...)

POKEMON BANK IS SHUTTING DOWN ON FEBRUARY 25TH 2027 AT 10PM EST

If you still have it (or were planning on downloading it through other means) make sure you get everything you were planning to transfer moved before then, and move any pokemon out of bank you don't wish to transfer.

If you have any Ribbon Masters that you need to transfer to newer games, now is the time to do that.

If you need an alternative to Pokemon Bank and your 3Ds/2Ds is hacked, you can install PKSM (a pokemon save editor for the 3Ds/2Ds) to use as pokemon storage. You can also back up your saves through Checkpoint and use PKHex to create files for individual pokemon to keep on your computer.
