you ever think about how people say that the world loses its color as you get older im sure they mean it in a metaphorical sense but like also i really think my eyes changed cuz yeah the world was overall a lot more vibrant as a child. not talking about like ads and media and stuff like just The World. Grass seems not as green, the sky not as blue. its weird ok thanks sorry i had to get that out to someone
you spend a great deal of your childhood seeing things youve never seen before. when youre a kid, youve only stared at the grass 10, 20, 30 times. you dont get used to it for quite a while, and you can stare for very long, counting all the blades and touching every bug. when you're older, you simply dont have that time anymore. youve stared at the grass 100, 200, 300 times now. and you dont have the time to sit very still for hours and touch it all. and you miss being able to, so you remember it even brighter than it was. but theres a kid sitting in the same grass you see less green, and its the brightest they've ever seen. and theyll sit there an awful long time. and in 20 years, theyll swear its never been as green as it was then. and thatll go on forever. if we really mean nature, and not the other factors (ie social trends leaning towards more neon in the early 2000s, whereas more neutral leaning now), then this will go on forever. the grass didnt change. its been around forever, itd be crazy if it did in that very very very little time its been since you were a kid. you did. and you always will. try to see the grass as green as it was, when you can
