The Inklings
“Oh no! Not another fucking elf!” Oxford English professor Hugo Dyson interrupted J.R.R. Tolkein during an early reading of The Lord of the Rings.
Hank’s greatest comfort of knowing he’s a Fiction.
There’s no Universe where he’s a Elf. And that is perhaps one of his greatest comforts ever. Hugo unfortunately does not have that comfort. Now I’m imagining Hank meeting Elf Hugo. I digress. Make of this what you will. Al, the Chronographing Cottager and Prince of Naming

Not another f***ing elf!!
Hugo Dyson (another member of the Inklings) to J.R.R. Tolkien... who went on to write Lord of the Rings with lots more f***ing elves.
The Inklings was a group of writers and friends of C.S. Lewis who met in his rooms at Oxford and at the Eagle and Child pub. If you go to the pub today you can still see where they met to discuss religion, mythology, and the stories they were writing.
Hank: We have fun, don’t we, Hugo?
Hugo: I have never been more stressed out in my entire life
Hugo Dyson: no no not the elves
Tolkien: haha pointy ear man go brrrr
