Lionel Benjamin est en 1945 à Port-au-Prince. Biologiste de formation, il chante depuis les années 1970. Considéré comme le « Père Noël haïtien », grâce au succès de « Abdenwèl », « Nwèl tap tap’ », il a animé diverses émissions de variétés et de sciences sur différentes stations de radio/télé de la capitale. Le Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication lui a décerné une plaque ’’honneur et mérite’’ en 2007.
