So excited for the new update! Are we going to be able to tell P about what Huite said to our child? I very much would love to see their reaction to that

Mild Spoilers for Chapter 1 below:
Given the relationship between P and Huite, and Huite's 'grudge' against MC.... kinda excited to see how that goes
Got to appeal to you angst lovers somehow, don't I? 😄
All that aside, I think we can assume it's going to get messy...
Though on this topic I have to ask, is he the type to hold a grudge to.... someone in the wrong place and time?
Yeah. Yeah, he is.
Does that put Myrna's concern into a new context?
Hi! I have a question about something that’s confusing to me.
In the scene where we meet Huite, my MC wasn’t impolite or anything of the sort to him so why does it play out like he is mad at the MC and wants to fight us? Vyla came up to his face and started telling him about his watch dues so he is mad at her but then it says: “I tense, ready to move, to try and dodge the blow.” But the MC was just an innocent bystander. (I’m also playing with a polite introverted MC so the reaction was even more weird haha) His beef is with Vyla not the MC. Why would he go and hit us? And later Vyla says things like “Edony will calm him down and he will stop looking for a fight” like it’s the MC’s fault or something when the MC didn’t do anything or upset anyone.
And later Myrna talks about a spat with Huite and how we were involved but we didn’t do anything 😰 the MC is innocent as a lamb and then they imply that it was our fault he got hit by a leaf? (Ok there might be supernatural things going on we don’t know yet) but the rest seems to be blown out of proportion. Like the MC was the center of his rage when we were just a silent observer.
It's been a while since we had a Huite post.
Have you ever heard the expression 'to a hammer, everything looks like a nail'?
Huite is the hammer, and if he is feeling put upon, or threatened, or belittled, anyone around him that isn't immediately jumping to his defence is going to look mighty like a nail. To him, it doesn't matter that the Main Character didn't do anything negative towards him, because they didn't do anything positive (in his mind) towards him either.
Vyla is the one to begin the process of really pissing him off in that first encounter, but for reasons not yet discussed in the story (but that will be discussed later), Huite can't take out his frustration on Vyla. But the Main Character? The Main Character is there, Huite isn't known for his rational thinking, and he's going to face less consequences for hitting them over hitting Vyla.
As for Myrna and her take, Myrna gets her information third hand. Vyla told Edony, Edony takes what she saw of events and what Vyla's told her and then tells Myrna, and Myrna then goes to tell Peyton or Peidyn. Edony, Myrna, Huite, and Peyton/Peidyn are cousins (and Edony and Huite are siblings on top of that). Consciously or unconsciously, they're going to be biased towards each other, whether that be in favour or against depends on the cousins.
So, Huite wants to hit the nearest available person/object in that moment, but he's with it enough to realise he can't hit Vyla, so the Main Character is kind of in the wrong place at the wrong time. Myrna links the Main Character into blame, though loosely because they are the unusual factor in a situation where there was an unusual outcome.
I hope that clears up some things for you.
The Huite encounter. I might have to borrow a certain someone's crossbow for the child's safety...
Only if that certain someone isn't using it, which they will be, for almost exactly the purpose you'd be planning to use it.
Peyton and Peidyn have very little time for their cousin's everything.
Sometimes u gotta remember.... this guy has KIDS
HES A DAD
HE RAISED CHILDREN
Yep.
And isn't that just a little bit terrifying?
Is it also terrifying that Huite is based off of a chap I used to work with, and he had children...
Oh, well that's lovely, we gained the ire of the town idiot
Awesome
I'm sure that will be.... fun.... and not annoying ever
He doesn't include our kid in his grudge though right, I mean this is me thinking he has some semblance of decency but WHO KNOWS
Only time will tell.
I'm sure the next time we see Huite, he'll realize his inappropriate comments towards us and our child were in fact, harmful and not humorous, and gracefully own up to what he has done and apologize. Changing as a person in the process, as he strives to be better then he was the day before, truly a heartwarming and inspirational tale of acceptance of one's wrongdoing, and change.
I think you might be overestimating Huite's level of self awareness there 😟
To address a problem, one must first admit that there is a problem.
Huite isn't an individual familiar with the concept of being wrong.
