The Class of 2017 makes its way through Hull Gate for the final time!

Students went all out this year to welcome the Class of 2020 during our annual Hull Gate Procession in which students say goodbye to their family and ceremoniously walk through the quad to be greeted by their classmates. O-Week has officially begun and it’s going to be a blast

The Beginning

The Hull Gate ceremony right at the start of Orientation Week is a big tradition. You say bye to your parents (it gets a little teary), walk through the gate, and are welcomed to the UChicago community with high fives, funny costumes, hugs and cheering. We can't wait.
