What's Hullevi's handwriting like?

Ooh my friend found some fonts for three FE3H characters with her handwriting headcanons and here's the one for Hubert which I totally agree with FDHSJK

Pre-academy Hillevi would write super neat to live up to her father's expectations like below

But after coming to the academy she allowed herself to care less about her handwriting and even write faster as a result

What's the overall Hillevi/Hubert relationship arc from the moment they meet until post-war? What are their initial impressions of each other?

In my personal headcanon they got to meet at least once before the academy, so Hubert's first impression of Hillevi is that she was a bit too uptight and too careful with her words and demeanor. On the other hand, Hillevi's impression of Hubert was that he was a Vestra, therefore would always have his eyes on everything at all times, so she had to be extremely careful around him and make sure to be as agreeable to him as possible.

Fast forward to the academy days (Hillevi is 18 Hubert is 20) and Hubert is highly suspicious of Hillevi. She is much different from what he remembered of her yet there was still that hint of carefulness that he saw in her in the past. This makes him suspect that she is a potential TWSITD bodysnatch that he and Edelgard weren't made aware of (took the idea from how NPCs noted that Kronya!Monica is very different to the original Monica). Hubert then confronts her in their C Support about how if she proved to confirm his suspicions he wouldn't hesitate to eliminate her. Hillevi of course doesn't know about TWSITD so Hubert's confrontation makes her anxious about whether this decision to change herself was the right choice and she starts to become even more careful around him.

Their B Support delves into why Hillevi cared so much about how others, especially Hubert, viewed her. Hillevi's entire existence revolved around the opinions of others, from her father to the nobles she would constantly interact with, so a small comment can lead her to question herself and spiral into a bad headspace. With Hubert being someone of a high position, given how he's the retainer of Edelgard, and someone who is very distrustful and inquisitive in general, he tends to intimidate her a bit. However, after understanding Hillevi's mindset, he starts warming up to her a bit, saying that he would rather trust someone who doesn't wear a false smile for the sake of others. It allows Hillevi to be more comfortable with herself and be open to expressing her true nature a bit more.

Once they finally defeat TWSITD, Hillevi recalls how Hubert suspected her back when they were students and then she remembers how Monica and Tomas were bodysnatched by TWSITD. Now knowing how Hubert and Edelgard had some connection/knowledge of them and connecting the dots, Hillevi then confronts Hubert, asking if he thought she was one of them all those years prior. Hubert admits that it was the case and I like to think that it's at this point that they are fully open to each other and trust each other completely.

Personally I think they don't confess to each other until after Hillevi comes back from her travels, because it's that long period of separation that they realize that life just isn't the same without the other. They still keep their relationship private for a bit (although their closest friends would know especially Dorothea nothing gets past her lmao) and it's not until Edelgard retires that they finally get married together. I like to think that they move to a humble estate in the countryside near Edelgard so Hubert could still attend to her if needed.

19. Do you have a sense of how your OCs relationship will evolve in the future? Or is it quite a fixed in terms of dynamics and story?

Hmm I'm not sure but I guess I do have a sense on how it would evolve? When I approach my OC ships I sometimes start out with a dynamic I want to portray as a baseline and then see how it could evolve into that, and sometimes while I flesh out the relationship the dynamic definitely changes as a result.

Hubert x Hillevi in its early days was just the two of them getting on each other's nerves and while that is still!!! the same!!! they also had some real deep bonding heart to heart moments that allowed the two of them to open up and be comfortable around the other enough to be able to do it in the first place.

Estinien x Rifra was initially gonna be something similar but more alongside Rifra teasing Estinien more but as I played through Endwalker and got to see the way he developed into someone with a lot of emotional intelligence but also someone recovering from indoctrination from Halonic teachings (in regards to dragons) it definitely helped me shape Rifrastinien into a different direction that's more than just extroverted girl teasing introverted grumpy guy.

37. What is something you try to avoid - or think everyone should try to avoid - when portraying sex and/or relationships with their characters?

I realized that I answered the relationship part of the ask here but not the sex part so I'll do it here!

Honestly when it comes to NSFW stuff just do whatever floats your boat? You want soft vanilla intimacy then go for it. Want some dead dove content? Write it out. Creative works should be used as an outlet and it's not really up to me to dictate what people should do/avoid. My only take is that you should curate your own space and also respect other people's boundaries. If shit makes you uncomfortable, then leave the situation. If you're making other people uncomfortable, then move somewhere else that they won't be able to see it.

Is it easy to write or otherwise portray other characters (or OCs) reactions to your OCs relationship? Are these interactions important to your characters story? For example, is the relationship one that can be publically acknowledged?

THIS IS SO LATE I'M SO SORRY WAAAAA

Honestly I sometimes have difficulty coming up with dynamics with characters that aren't my main brainrot, so coming up with this stuff does stump me from time to time.

There definitely are some characters that are important to the relationship though!

For example for my FE3H OC x Canon ship Hubert and Hillevi, Edelgard is definitely an important factor because Edelgard wants Hubert to experience his own happiness and if she notices his thoughts drifting towards her she would definitely encourage him to pursue her. Given how Hubert is Extremely Emotionally Constipated, that small push definitely helps him be able to allow himself some indulgence. Their relationship is initially a bit private due to TWSITD's threats still being present even after the war but the Black Eagles definitely know about it.

For my FFXIV wolship Estinien and Rifra, their relationship is definitely more public and the Scions know about it, and some of them were just holding their breath wondering when it would happen. Tataru and Krile are some of their biggest wingmen actually, since they were the ones who pestered Estinien to work for the Scions when they were all spirited away to the First in Shadowbringers, and they did so because they most certainly noticed him having some feelings for Rifra through word of mouth (cough cough Wandering Minstrel).

Someday I definitely want to come up with more dynamic ideas but this is what I have for now!

I haven't rambled about Hullevi in a while so here

idk I just love how Hubert and Hillevi have very different approaches to shit that would bother them. Hubert would take it on a more logical/objective matter while Hillevi is a more emotionally motivated person

When Hillevi is upset about something Hubert would let her ramble about it to understand her perspective and if she's in the right mood he would offer his own logical perspective and it helps ground her feelings a bit more

And Hubert is the type to bottle up his feelings, which usually doesn't get past Hillevi so she would pester him to share his woes with her until he gives in. Hubert would initially be mad at himself for being emotionally vulnerable but Hillevi helps him feel secure about his own feelings

I just care them a lot okay
