Once everything had settled down, Hunter and Prime slept peacefully in the hospital bed, baby Ritana'Jesi nar Tol asleep in the incubation unit beside them. Everything was just about perfect.
Then, something changed.
More accurately, everything changed. Hunter changed, Prime changed, even Ritana changed--into geth, that is.
Clothes tore--particularly Prime's--and the bed creaked under the sudden extra weight--again, particularly Prime's. The machines hooked up to them blared angrily as their readings changed dramatically or stopped altogether, waking all three up. Moments later, nurses came rushing in, flipping on the light and staring in shock.
Now, on the creaking bed that was threatening to break, lay a twelve-foot-tall, gray, geometrically patterned geth mobile server platform, curled on its side with its arms around the smaller six-foot black and pink infiltration unit. They were absorbed in each other, gazing into each other's optics and caressing each other's necks, reveling in their ability to network. They were reminded of the first time they escaped the jamming signal after the mission on which their relationship began. The sensation was just as novel and revealing, as they shared all their collected data and feelings they'd had while they were unable to connect.
In the little incubation crib next to their bed lie Ritana, now a tiny white geth with pink lights making high-pitched gethy noises in some amount of distress. All the medical machines echoed her, and the nurses were understandably not amused.
But Hunter and Prime didn't mind them, because now everything was perfect.
