i was wondering... how would it go in an AU where adrian was a giant and everyone else was a human? 👀
This is a great question! While we haven't written or drawn anything for this yet, we have actually mused quite a lot on a giant Adrian AU. Here's the premise as we have it so far: As a giant, Adrian was living his life peacefully out in the wilderness. He would often use charcoal to draw things on the sides of cliffs and such, though he was always sure to wipe them away afterwards. Except, traces of his drawings remained once or twice, and caught the attention of some very bad people indeed.
Those people launched a fairly large-scale attempt to capture him and, caught by surprise, Adrian was captured and moved to a facility deep in the woods built for the express purpose of keeping him contained. With the bad humans determined to use him to make money, poor Adrian gets used to a routine of tests and exercises, all while under guard and unable to escape.
His life is a lonely one, until a college student hiking deep in the woods finds a hole in a fence and a mysterious facility beyond, and can't help but want to find out what's inside...
A Big Not Friendly Giant comic, since I seem to be on a roll with Trust shenanigans. Sawyer has things to say! Colfax needs to listen! Colfax is definitely asleep, bud.
I finally got around to lining and coloring a comic page I had drawn a while ago. I wanted to try paneling out a scene from one of the Trust stories, and the first that came to mind was the beginning of ALMT. I just love when Colfax gets shocked enough to show it on his face. XD He done fucked up.
Kittyfax update
So, we made an executive decision to ret-con what we’ve written of A Little Bit of Catnip so far to make Colfax cat-sized rather than viri-sized. We think it’s a good choice. Go check it out!
This week on Another Wacky Trust AU: dragonfax. He sets things on fire and steals your socks, but you gotta love him anyways.
Brigid loves it up there. (She’s not hiding though. She’s not allowed to play hide-and-go seek with the humans anymore.)
Charlie is in Ravenclaw, obviously. Though he’s so polite that at first people might think him a timid little Hufflepuff, as soon as he gets going about anything remotely academic it’s just obvious. The sorting hat did not take long at all to decide on Ravenclaw; the small, shy first year came with more books than clothing in his trunk.
Sawyer is a Gryffindor. The sorting hat took a surprisingly long time to sort him- the hat couldn’t decide which was stronger, the loyalty of a Hufflepuff or the headstrong nature of a Gryffindor. Eventually, however, young Sawyer started squirming on the stool out of impatience and it was pretty well decided.
Adrian falls neatly into Hufflepuff. He may be shy, but the friends he does make get to see his loyalty and his motivation for things to be fair and happy. The sorting hat wouldn’t need to ponder long with Adrian, and Hufflepuff also happens to be a good house to respect his boundaries with touch! I can see the Hufflepuffs simply nodding and respecting it.
Meanwhile, if anyone has the cunning, ambition, and razor sharp focus of a Slytherin, it’s Colfax. He will give his all towards a goal, and when it comes to looking out for his own (few though they may be), he’s patient and observant. The hat probably considered Ravenclaw for him, but the shifting nature of riddles wouldn’t have suited his single-minded drive.
