A few days ago at lunch...

...this guy comes around to our table. Okay, no big deal, people hover a bit sometimes--friends of friends, that sort of deal. He obviously knows my bud to my left, and the /thing/ at his left side whose existence on this planet I cannot stand, so his presence does not offend me just yet. And then he starts talking. First thing I notice, of course, is that the boy has a sharp mouth. He's on about Hitler and some sort of something else ideologically sensitive and completely blowing through the topics like a well-seasoned douchebag. My left friend jabs me in the side at some point, (which earns him a "motherfucker fucking cut it out", I believe), and the guy chimes in with, "Hey, hey, no rape on school grounds." It's then that I notice something peculiar. I snark something back, a knee-jerk reaction that doesn't really require thought, but I'm now studying him intently. He's thin, and lanky as hell--probably a good head or two taller than myself to boot, with older-looking glasses, and a slight lisp edging his words. It only took a minute for me to realize what I had inadvertently done. "Holy shit," I thought to myself incredulously, as I watched him lisp his way through some vague reference to hookers, "I've found human Sollux." He's 100% my headcanon now and I can see that becoming an issue later on. I don't even know his name but I'm itching to tell him about Homestuck.
