Hi, I have a friend with a lot of animals and some super sensitive ones, but she travels so much. Not for work or anything, just pleasure vacations. I go to her apartment a lot to help out, but she doesn’t quite understand she really needs to be around more. She keeps buying more too, bc I’m not the only one helping out and I kinda think she expects us to all the work. I want to tell her I’m done but I can’t leave those animals in her care, it’d be on my conscious. What should I do?

Tell her you’re done. The animals honestly aren’t your responsibility - you aren’t the one buying them and you aren’t their owner. You have to place your own well being first. If it’s getting to be too much work, then you have to take a step back. At the very least, if you aren’t already, I would start refusing to help without getting paid for it first. If she wants to treat you like an employee instead of a friend, she has to pay you like an employee.
