A Drunk!Human!Damon goes for a walk, only to end up at the house of his favourite lady.
I could hear Damon coming from a mile away. I was sure anyone could, even my human servants. Loudly singing at the top of his lungs as he walked down the road to my door.
“Ma’am Master Salvatore-” Josephine bowed her head as she stopped just before the door of my office, aware of the wards that guarded it.
“I can hear him Josephine, let him come.” Her eyes narrowed, unimpressed with my decision, before bowing her head. I knew it was improper, but I cared little for it, Damon and I had our own special way of courting, regardless of what the townsfolk thought, or my own staff expected.
It was perfect for us, for who we were and what we wanted. I turned my attention back to my writing as Josephine left, I kept one ear on her, listening to her soft footsteps as she went downstairs, whispering orders to others, no doubt they had already planned to intercept Damon before he could reach me, and she was putting a stop to all that.
“She has eyes greener than the spring grasssss and...” Damon hiccuped, pausing in his made up song as he thought about what should come next. “And she’s the most exquisite thing I’ve ever seeennn.” Another pause, “no, that does not rhyme with grass, why did I pick grass?” He muttered to himself, “Can I say something about her arse? No that's very improper, grass, arse, mask!” I rose from my chair, walking out to the balcony, leaning on the railing and watching him approaching. “I would take her to all the masskkkkeeeddd balls!” I couldn’t help but laugh as I watched the confusion fall across his face, realising the last word was not mask like he had intended.
I heard the front door open, no doubt Josephine getting ready to usher him into the house and away from the public.
“Leave him be Josephine. Everyone leave us.” I spoke softly, knowing enough people would hear me to carry out the orders I gave. I wanted nothing to stand between me and the young man approaching, he seemed to have a plan, and I was willing to let him carry it out.
So I watched and waited, the stumbling steps closer he was taking, the pauses to continue drinking from the bottle in his hand, staggering more, but somehow remaining upright.
“Ah ha!” Damon yelled victoriously, “I never like it when she wears a mask!” he frowned, “but I do like it when she wears a mask, she looked so beautiful at that masquerade ball and-” He looked up at the house, noticing me leaning against the railing watching him. “Eriana!” He quickly hid the bottle behind his back
“Master Salvatore, it is a lovely day for a walk.” I greeted in turn, pretending to not see anything as he bowed, liquid from the bottle spilling forward and covering his back in dink.
“Did you know I was coming?” His eyes narrowed towards me suspiciously,
“No, I was merely taking a moment's break to enjoy the sunshine.” I waved a hand towards the office behind me, lying, he clearly meant to surprise me, and had not realised he was singing loud enough to be heard approaching.
“He is very intoxicated for this time of the morning ma’am, shall I get him something? Perhaps a room to rest in?” The voice from behind me was soft, and I glanced over my shoulder to see one of the kitchen hands hovering in the hallway outside of my office. “The chef has a remedy he would be willing to make for the master.”
“We shall see what he wants and how he is feeling, please prepare a large meal, I’m sure Master Salvatore will benefit from a hearty lunch.” I turned as I spoke, letting Damon know my quiet words were not for him, irregardless of the fact that he could not hear them anyway.
“Of course ma’am.” The kitchen boy bowed his head before returning to the kitchen with my orders.
“What can I do for you Master Salvatore?”I turned back to him, noticing that he had put the bottle down, attempting to hide it in a bush.
“I just needed to see you.” The honesty in his voice took my breath away, his ice blue eyes staring up at me.
“Well you see me Master Salvatore, is it everything you had dreamed?” I pushed myself upright, doing a little spin as I teased him.
“More amazing than any of my dreams.” It was a whisper, passing under his breath, not meant for me to hear. “Would you care for some company for a while Lady Mikealson?” The offer was much louder,
“I am terribly busy, but perhaps I could be distracted from my work.” I teased, leaning back on the balcony and watching him.
“You did say you were taking a break to enjoy the sunshine. Come, enjoy it in the garden with me.” Damon offered me a hand, temptation I knew I would not resist. “It seems I have spoiled my shirt, I may have to remove it to allow it to dry.” He winked at me, pulling off his vest and throwing it into the bush with his bottle. He was walking towards the garden, slowly undoing one button at a time as he did so. “But if her ladyship is busy, I do understand.” There was a wicked half smirk on his lips as he paused to look at me, the last button on his shirt coming undone and revealing his muscled torso.
“You are irresistible Master Salvatore.” He chuckled, biting his bottom lip and looking up at me, knowing it would drive me crazy.
“Don’t I know it.” He winked, sauntering off into the garden. It took me half a moment to recover before I was chasing after him, hands lifting my skirts and a giggle on my lips as I raced down the stairs and out the back door, straight into him. His hands rested on my waist, steading me as I crashed into his bare chest. “Careful, we would not want you falling for me.” That smirk was still on his lips, eyes locked on mine, and all I could think about was wiping that smirk off his face. I dropped my skirts, raising both arms to loop around his neck, before stretching up onto my toes to kiss him.
Damon responded instantly, a groan passing his lips as he grabbed at my waist and pulled me closer. I moved one hand up to tangle in his hair, using that grasp on him to tilt his head and bring his lips closer to mine. I felt the fire blazing up my back as his hands ran along it, grasping at fabric in an attempt to get even closer.
“Wait.” He pulled away, and I let him, my hand loosening in its grasp to instead just rest on the back of his head, both of us gasping for air, but unwilling to move further apart than our foreheads on each others.
“Yes?” We were both wearing lazy smiles, wrapped around each other as our breaths returned to normal.
“Do not let me ravish you, not while I am intoxicated.” The words were a whisper, coupled with a searing kiss that nearly restarted my unbeating heart. “I want it to be perfect, special, perhaps even on our wedding night, so I do not ruin you.” He pulled away further, pressing a kiss to my forehead. Hands going back to rest on my hips.
“Are you saying you would like to Master Salvatore?” I did not remove my arms from his neck, looking up at him, he groaned again, leaning down to brush a kiss past my lips.
“Ravish you? I would like nothing more. Marry you, absolutely, one day.” The words were a whisper past his lips, a quiet admittance that was only meant for us.
“As would I.” One of the hands on my hips tightened, his lips coming back to mine for another kiss that left us both breathless. “But you are right, not while you are in this state.” I pulled away from him, tapping his nose with my finger, his hands loosened on my hips. I took only a moment to laugh at his shocked look, before gathering up my skirts and running off.
It only took him a moment more before he started chasing after me, both of us laughing as I dodged through rows of flowers, running towards the bridge that crossed the river. I was only a few steps from my destination when he caught me, both arms crossing around my waist and lifting me off my feet, Damon spinning us around a few times before putting me back on the ground, loosening his hold just enough so I could turn to face him.
“What ever will I do with you now I have caught you.” My arms went back around his neck, leaning back in his hold, his eyes were twinkling, teasing me, he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
“I am certain there is an idea or two in your mind.” He laughed, before leaning in closer to me.
“Perhaps one or two.” His voice had deepend ever so slightly, a mix of mischief and lust dancing on the edges of his eyes.
“If you throw me in the river, I swear on my life that I will drag you in with me.” I gently squeezed my arms around his neck, reminding him that I had a hold on him as well. Damon pouted, his eyes softening as though to beg for permission. “Damon, do you know how long it takes to get this gown on and off? No.” His pout only grew, before he shook it off, a giddy smile pulling at his lips instead.
“You called me Damon.” He tugged me closer, pressing kisses all over my face, ignoring the way I laughed and tried to escape the onslaught.
“Stop, Damon, Stop.” I couldn’t help but laugh, he kept going only pausing when one of his kisses landed on the edge of my mouth.
“Tell me to stop.” He whispered, brushing his lips over mine, no doubt feeling the same fire course through his body that did mine.
“I will not let you take me to my bed, but I also will not stop you from kissing me.” I whispered back, shifting one hand to pull his lips onto mine, both of us squeezing the other tighter as our lips started moving together.
A Tipsy!Damon shows up at his crushes house. Set in the 1980′s when he’s still human.
Eriana growled as she heard a knock at her front door, lifting her head from Josephine’s neck and motioning for her maid to answer the door. Josephine nodded as she stood, using a handkerchief to wipe up the blood as her neck healed, pausing to look in the mirror to insure there was no trace of her mistress' late night snack. Thankfully Eriana was a tidy eater, so neither woman had to dash off to wash or change. Eriana barely moved from where Josephine had been kneeled between her legs, reclining her head back and looking towards the door.
It was late, so late that most of the inhabitants of Mystic Falls were fast asleep, and any that were awake should know better than to show up at someone’s house uninvited this late. No doubt it was just some drunk who had gotten lost and needed a place to stay. Josephine would send them on their way, and she would be back to satisfying her hunger momentarily.
“Master Salvatore.” Eriana froze at the shocked words that fell from her maids lips. A part of Eriana was worried that it was Guiseppe, he’d figured out she was one of the creatures he hunted, and was here to end her and her ‘evil’ ways. But a bigger part of her hoped that it was Damon Salvatore, his eldest son, Eriana had been trying to get the young man to court her, flirting with him at every chance she got in the hopes that it would work. She knew of his reputation, that he was a charmer, but she didn’t care, she had been waiting for him since her first vision of the future. The fact that he never reacted nor made a move on her upset her, he was supposed to go for any pretty woman who looked his way, at least according to his reputation, yet with her she got nothing.
“Pull yourself together Damon, come on.” The words were a quiet mutter under his breath, and I found myself smiling, the eldest son it was. “Is her Ladyship available? I was hoping for a quiet moment.” His words were louder, stronger this time.
“Absolutely not, do you know what time of night it is, her Ladyship is asleep, as all proper woman should be-” Josephine instantly started scolding him, there was no way it was proper for a man to journey unaccompanied and uninvited to a lady’s house at any time of day, much less this late at night.
“I want to see him.” My words were quiet, meant only for Josephine, interrupting her telling off of the Salvatore.
“Very well, give me that, freshen up, it is the least you could do.” I could hear her displeasure as she obeyed my orders, taking something off of the young man and letting him in. “This way please.” I listened to his heavy footfalls, not turning to look at the door I knew he would come through. “My Lady, Master Salvatore to see you.” I did turn at that, letting a look of surprise fall over my features.
“Master Salvatore, is everything alright?” He bowed, stumbling as he did so before standing upright again. Josephine turned slightly, giving me a glance of the bottle hidden behind her back, explaining he was inebriated without saying a word.
“Shall I gather some refreshments my lady?” Josephine asked, glancing towards Master Salvatore, figuring out that he wouldn’t say whatever was on his mind as long as she was in the room.
“Please Josephine.” She nodded, leaving the room as I stood, turning to face Damon Salvatore. I both saw and heard the deep sigh that escaped his lips and caused some of the strain on his shoulders to leave. “How may I assist you tonight Master Salvatore? Has something of great urgency occurred?” He did not say a word, only staring at me. “Master Salvatore?” His head shook slightly, eyes closing momentarily as he tried to ground himself.
“No, nothing of the sort. I should not be here, my deepest apologies to my Lady.” He bowed again, starting to topple over. I moved faster than I should have in his presence, getting to his side to stabilize him before he could fall. His eyes widened as they glanced between me and where I had been standing, his addled mind trying to figure out how I got there before giving up and assuming I had been closer this whole time.
“It is very rare to have guests so late, surely something is troubling you.” He looked up at me, his breath catching on his lips as his icy blue eyes locked on my emerald ones. I did not lift my hands from his side, trying not to smile as he shifted his weight to be closer to my hand.
“There is something on my mind, but I should not have come here. It is improper-” He slowly dragged his eyes from mine, looking past me to the fire I had been seated in front of.
“Master Salvatore.” There was a harshness in my tone that startled both of us into silence.
“Refreshments my lady.” Josephine swept in, saving me from scrambling for a response, placing a tray on the table between my settee and the fire. “Is there anything else ma’am?” The last thing Josephine wanted was to leave my side, but I knew she would, she knew how important Damon Salvatore was to me.
“That is all, thank you Josephine.” I knew from the way she bowed her head that she intended on staying nearby, out of sight, but not out of hearing range, in case something should happen and I require her presence. “Would you care for a seat Master Salvatore?” I motioned to the rest of the living room, offering him any of the settee’s or armchairs that were around the room.
“Damon, please, call me Damon.” The words were a heartfelt plea, falling from his lips in a gasp.
“Very well, would you do me the same honour?” I watched as his eyes widened, before he nodded eagerly, only to stop when the room spun, leaning into my hand a little more. I was thankful for the extra strength my condition gave me, but I took a step closer regardless, taking advantage of the fact that I should not be able to support him to stand closer to his side.
I wrapped one arm around his waist, keeping him steady as I led him to the settee I had just abandoned, placing him on one half before I took the other, not touching, but rather close to one another.
“Can I get you a drink, or something to eat?” Josephine had provided hot tea, and I poured myself a glass, before looking to him for an answer. Damon nodded, watching as I made him a cup of tea, leaning closer to secure it in his grasp, offering a range of baked goods on the tray. His eyes were still on me as I selected a biscuit, leaning back with my own steaming cup and watching him in return.
Silence fell, and we let it, Damon lost in his own thoughts, staring at me before glancing around the room, only for his gaze to land back on me everytime.
“Tell me what ails you.” I could not help the words that fell from my lips, wondering what was playing on his mind so much that it brought him to my doorstep.
“You.” The single word that fell off of his lips stopped my breathing, I had hoped for, but never expected that answer. I was still frozen as he set his cup aside, moving closer to take one of my hands in his, our legs pressed together. “I have tried so hard to stay away, to protect you from the rumours that cling to me, for fear that my reputation would ruin yours.” His eyes followed his fingers as they ran up and down my hand, pausing at my signet ring, before returning to blazing trails across my skin. “You are too good for that, for me, and you deserve much more than I could ever hope to offer.” His eyes raised to mine, “but I cannot remove you from my mind, you haunt me and-” He raised a hand, reaching for my face before catching himself and dropping it back down to rest in his lap. “And I am finding myself more and more powerless to resist you.” There was nothing but honesty in his eyes, words falling off his lips in a whisper, like they were too private to be spoken out loud.
He looked down as I took my hand from his, trying not to look hurt at the action, but failing in a way that made my heart ache. I did not pause however, wrapping my hand around his wrist and lifting his hand so it could rest on my cheek.
“Have I given you any indication that I do not wish for your affections?” He was distracted from answering my question, fingers shifting on my cheek until they fit into place cradling my jaw, like they had always belonged there.
“No, but-” He finally answered, eyes shifting back to mine, glistening slightly with what I feared were the start of tears.
“I know your reputation Master Salvatore, and I care little about it. Nor do I care what the townsfolk say. I care for what my heart wants, and what yours wishes for.” His other hand came up to cup the other side of my jaw, staring deeply into my eyes as he questioned the sincerity of my words. I waited, waited until I saw the recognition flutter across his face as he realised I meant every word. “I was trying to gain your attention, hoped you would wish to court me, but you never seemed to notice.” A chuckle pulled his lips upwards,
“Believe me, I noticed plenty.” His thumbs brushed along my cheeks, “I only thought that I had seen what my mind wished me to see, rather than what was in front of me.” A smile tugged at my lips, and my face slid from his grasp as I leant back to laugh.
“I guess subtly is lost on you Master Salvatore.” He was confused, but still smiling as he watched me laugh. “I shall speak plainly then. I want you to court me. I want you to sneak into my bed and ruin my reputation. I want to spend all my time with you. I want to show you off to the whole town, regardless of what they think. I want to one day build a family with you, to call you my husband, and hear you call me your wife.” I kept my eyes on his as I spoke, letting him know that I meant every word I spoke. His eyes widened, his jaw falling open in shock at each confession I let roll off of my lips, telling him what exactly it was I wanted from him, no lies nor pretty words, the straight forward truth.
“I want you to kiss me, Damon Salvatore.” The last words were a whisper, but the ones that spurred him into action, my eyes closing, his hands returning to my cheeks as he leant forward and pressed the sweetest, most chaste kiss to my lips, resting his forehead on mine, thumbs stroking my cheek as he watched me closely. Slowly I opened my eyes, letting a soft smile tug at my lips.
“If I am to court you, Miss Mikealson, then I wish to do it right.” His thumb shifted, running across my lips. “Please believe me, I want nothing more than to sweep you off your feet and go find your bedroom, but you deserve better than that.” His lips brushed past mine again, lingering only a moment longer. “You mean more to me than one night of passion, I want more than that from you.” Another sweet kiss against my lips,
“A gentleman indeed.” I opened my eyes as he pulled away from me, fire burning where his hands had been before they returned to his lap.
“I am no gentleman Miss Mikealson, but I wish to court you properly.” He stood, seeming less unsure of himself as he had when he arrived on my doorstep.
“Must you leave so soon?” I knew what he was thinking as he started placing his teacup back on the tray, taking a small slice of cake as he did so.
“I must, I wish to take the woman I am courting on a picnic lunch in the morning, and there is much I must see to before then.” He winked at me as he took a bite of cake, causing my unbeating heart to skip a beat.
“Oh I see.” Two could play at that game, I had been flirting with him since I had arrived, at least now he was openly returning my affections. “How will she feel, knowing you sought out the arms of another?” His eyes narrowed slightly, and I laughed, unable to help the giddiness I felt. He only smiled, eating the slice of cake as he watched me. “What did bring you to my door Master Salvatore?”
“I told you Miss Mikealson, I could not drive the thought of you from my mind.” He moved closer, offering me a hand, and when I took it, he pressed a soft kiss to the back of it. “The boys and I, we had been at the tavern, drinking and playing around as boys tend to do.” He gave my hand a gentle tug, asking permission to help me up, which I gave, standing, immediately he drew me into his arms. “As the night drew on, some went home to their wives, others chased the women in the tavern, and I could think of nothing but you.” He started swaying, leading me into a dance to the music that was playing in his mind. “I was under the impression that I was headed home, when I found myself on your doorstep. The alcohol gave me the courage to knock and then-” He twirled me under his arm, before bringing me back in close to his chest.
“Then?” I prompted, wondering how he would describe what had just occurred.
“You had the courage to say what I did not.” The swaying stopped, one hand resting on my waist and the other on my cheek. “That what I had been dreaming for was the truth, I was not reading something that was not there.” He pressed another kiss to my lips, this one lasting the longest yet, but nowhere near as long as I wanted, him pulling away drew a small whine from my mouth.
Damon chuckled, relenting and giving me one last kiss, before removing himself from me entirely. I pouted, opening my eyes and watching him move towards the door he entered from.
“You are a tease Master Salvatore.” He paused mid-step, looking over with a wide smile and a wink.
“I aim to please Miss Mikealson.” Another chuckle, “I will see you in the morning my lady, to court you proper.” He bent into a flourishing bow, showing no sign of the unsteadiness from before.
“I have arranged a carriage to take the Young Master home.” Josephine appeared in the doorway as he straightened, realising that the conversation was over. “Madame, your bed is ready for you, and a maid is awaiting your arrival.”
“Thank you Josephine, Until tomorrow Master Salvatore.” I bowed my head in return, deciding to wait until I had heard Damon leave to move, needing a moment to compose myself before I saw anyone else.
“Damon, please.” His smile was breathtaking, sweeping out of the room with Josephine following behind. He did not know that I could hear his happy humming the moment he was out my front door, nor that I listened to it until the sound of the carriage overwhelmed it and they were out of earshot.
“Are you sure this is wise Madame?” Josephine was watching me worriedly, she had always been scared of the power a human would one day wield over me. It was her job to protect me, and she did not approve of the eldest Salvatore son, nor his reputation. She was scared that he would hurt me, and we would both be powerless to stop it.
“He is my soul mate Josephine, I know that more than anything else in the world.” Josephine frowned, before bowing her head, and moving out of the doorway, allowing me to move past her and towards my bedroom, already excited for what the morning would bring.
“He is my soul mate Josephine, I know that more than anything else in the world.” Josephine frowned, before bowing her head, and moving out of the doorway, allowing me to move past her and towards my bedroom, already excited for what the morning would bring.
So I LOVED the flashbacks to human Damon and little Stefan
But I still think they should have cast a teenage Damon as well if they were gonna go with a 10-year-old Stefan, even though they did make Ian look a little bit younger.
But he could easily be that kid's dad in real life, and that just throws the dynamic a bit for me. How much of an age gap between Damon and Stefan is there actually supposed to be anyway?? It looked really friggin big this way, at least 10 years, which makes it a bit weird that Stefan described them as "best friends" growing up, and the fact that they pursued the same woman is even weirder.
Paul Wesley is supposed to be playing a 17-year-old for crying out loud. We can pretend that Ian is playing a 23-year-old or whatever he's supposed to be, but not when it's actually juxtaposed with a 10-year-old and he's suddenly supposed to be 17 or 18 or whatever age Damon was supposed to be in the flashback.
I would have LOVED seeing a teenager with raven hair and blue eyes play a 15-or-so year-old Damon. I soooooo hope that they are gonna take advantage of this Mama Salvatore storyline and give us a lot more flashbacks -
