Human Skull from Londinium, The Museum of London (Currently Relocating), London
The use of human heads as local ritual offering appears to have continued in the Roman settlement of Londinium. This one was deposited as an offering in a stream. Other offerings include stone and wooden effigies and heads, although very few of these have survived.
