Idea for a Homestuck AU: 40 years post human conquest and acquisition of Alternia, 12 young trolls undertake a secret pilgrim age to a crashed red starship deep in an Alternian desert, seeking truth about their civilization.
The trolls of Alternia have had human culture and ideals foisted upon them, and the history and culture of Alternia is whispered among the young trolls. These legends are far more rosie than the reality of pre-human Alternia, but a young troll of obscure blood and his 11 friends undertake a pilgrimage to where the star cruiser of Her Imperious Condescension is said to rest, on a massive empty salt flat.
On the long journey, the young trolls would have to face the reality of their past, that the legends of the Condesce as some gallant warrior queen were myths and hogwash.
