There are far too many stories about beautiful people. People who don’t realise they’re beautiful. People who think they’re not special, but have 3 people at a time vying for their affections.
I want to read a story about someone who isn’t beautiful, who knows it and is okay with it, and is still a great character who is smart and funny and has hopes and dreams and doesn’t have to be told that they’re beautiful on the inside or the outside, because it’s okay, they don’t need to be. I want to read a story about a human being who isn’t beautiful and doesn’t get their happy ending, because humans don’t have happy endings, they just have endings, and if they're lucky, some happiness before the end.
