And THEN my brain was like, "hey, remember Lil' Arturo from the Gangreen Gang and his switch blade comb named Maria?" I laughed and was like, Shadow WOULD have a switch blade comb named Maria...

From now on I wanna include yappings abt my own art under my posts bc I put too much thought into fanart ffs

- both are supposed to look a little bit punk

- Shadow got heavier eyebrows -> visual shorthand for serious character

- Sonic got lighter eyebrows -> less serious

- Shadow with lashes -> more effeminate/dramatic compared to Sonic

- only yellow in the piece on the rings -> connection between Shadow&Sonic (can be read as either platonic or romantic) also obv reference to the rings in the games/movies

- Sonic as darker skinned than Shadow to subvert the trope of darker=aggressive/mean

- Sonic with a bit more sport-y look, Shadow more biker fashion

After jokes about latinas I joke that shadow is one(I just meant to make his skin closer to his skin of hedgehog self)
