Some Teens In Our Schools Feel Alone And Hopeless:::an article

You have all these political grand-standers on TV, so-called experts talking about the recent school mass-shooting and not one of them touch on the real issues. The truth is, even staunch gun control would have no effect on this issue.
Because the root problem is that you have teenagers in every school in America, who don't fit in with the rest of the teens. Some of these teens start to feel so badly dejected that they start to feel angry inside. Anger turns into violent action. The cycle continues school after school.
The key is to create a pool of “watchers” in every state. A pool of people who are in their early 20s. Positive minded people who can come into the schools with a clearance pass and seek out those loner teens who need someone to talk to. And to befriend them.
The objective is to intervene and reach those teens who are feeling hopeless. To pick them up and help them. The watchers could come into the schools 5 or 6 deep. The watchers would be like big brothers and big sisters.
I guarantee you.
This kind of human intervention would work. Because young people can relate better with other young people. Gun control is not the whole answer, because America is already afloat in guns. Helping our children, ALL of them, to feel a self worth is the most intelligent solution.
To be honest, it's the human solution.
