I've had this irrational extreme hate and slight phobia for dolls or any items that closely resemble humans ever since I was younger. If any of you actually read this, you'll probably laugh at my reason: I used to think that they would come alive at night and switch souls with me, such that they would end up controlling my body. 

I'm not going to go into further detail unless someone's interested. But I also want to say that it didn't help that my grandmother would give me a porcelain doll for every gift-giving holiday--including my birthday.
