You think pumpkin and sweet potatoes would be good in a pie together? Maybe even some pecans for razzmatazz?
maybe?? I’d try it, to be sure!! I love pecans, too!!

Omg YAAS sweet potato pie is bae. Most everyone I know is like "ew wtf". I'm the only one in my family that even likes them ):
OH GOD IT’S SO GOOD??? it’s like punkin pie but tastier!!
I feel like this yam/broccoli divide is misplaced because honestly broccoli is strictly a vegetable and yams can be done up to be a sweeter dish? I mean broccoli is one of my fave vegetables (besides asparagus or artichokes, cuz I mean, c'mon) but yams are also amazing especially with plenty of butter and brown sugar and marshmallows on top. Really this whole thing is making me think of thanksgiving. I can't vote because I love them both so much.
oh man have you had sweet potato pie??
How would someone find a therapist? I've struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life, and have self diagnosed myself with BPD, and starting next year I'll be able to start going to a therapist, but I don't know how I would begin the search for someone who would be able to help me. Also I don't really know the difference between psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists (if there is any). What should I look for? Thank you so much (:
Last time I was looking for a therapist, I used this, but I think it's for US only? You can search your area, and it also let me put in my health insurance so I could search by who accepted my insurance.
Difference between psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists:
Psychologists are doctors in the sense that they have a doctorate degree. They have not attended medical school and have training in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. They cannot prescribe medication. They are "psychology scientists," so to speak.
Psychiatrists can actually prescribe medication, as they are actual doctors. The big difference between psychiatrists and psychologists is that psychologists study psychology, and psychiatrists study medicine. Psychiatrists actually do attend medical school so they can prescribe medication. Psychiatrists, like psychologists, and also diagnose and assess mental illnesses.
Therapists are often psychologists, but not all psychologists are therapists, if that makes sense? Psychologists, upon getting their shiny title, may choose a number of things to be, a therapist being one of them. They can also be researchers or counselors, for example, Therapists do not prescribe medication and instead actually help with coping skills, etc. A therapist is the one you may do most of your talking and treatment with.
Some people see both a therapist and a psychiatrist for treatment.
