Nowadays with all the information out there about nutrition and health, things can get confusing when you go to the grocery store. What is the difference between cage free/free range/organic or pasture-raised eggs?😳🤔 1. Cage free: it only means the hens don't live in cages. It doesn't determine the space they should have to move. 2. Free range: USDA regulated. It means hens are given continuous access to the outdoors during their production cycle. 3. Pasture-raised: the hens are given at least 108 square feet each and eat some feed, grass, bugs, worms and anything else they can fins outside. 4. Organic: eggs from hens that are fed only organic feed (free of animal by-products, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or other chemical additives). No genetically modified foods, hormones or other drugs can be used in their production. Hope this helps to understand more about all this terminology. Your health is your most valued asset!
