"I have learned so many things about the learner profile traits that I didn't know before and Westlake has helped me learn so much through the years. I don't know if they have the learner profile traits at other schools and I don't think I would be as open-minded as I am I didn't go here"

"Things have changed a lot in my time. When you get older all you have is time. I use my time to be observant. You know what I see? You're the first person in months to stop and talk to me. It's zombie land around here now. People don't realise how plugged into their little machines they are. Kids are losing the ability to communicate with each other verbally, through vibration of sound you get me? The sound vibration communicates a lot more than noise ... it's that vibration that makes us feel a part of something bigger than ourselves ... bear with me here, our children need to be able to communicate verbally, one day this technology with disappear in the blink of an eye and that son, is the end of it all for us. At the end of the day I'm an old lady with a lot of life experience what would I know right?"

"If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be ?" "I wish I could have been born a little later in life"  "Can I ask why?"  "Well its all got to do with a woman ... she's married and quite a bit younger than me but we have a perfect connection. Almost like a feeling that we are meant to be together. We sing in the same choir and its just wonderful. I would never act on anything because I'm a gentleman and she's married and what not, but I can't help thinking what might have happened if I was younger and she was single. I'm thankful for the friendship though. It's amazing."
