Teddy cleared his throat. “Alright, clearly you’ve been on the bad end of a bargain before, ma’am, but don’t go projecting your issues all over us. We aren’t even looking for her to bargain with her in the first place! We need to steal something from her.”

It is around a freshly brewed pint that High King Margo had a long discussion with Humbledrum and change the face of the first fillorian election ever held; the talking animal decided to join their voice and write her in as a candidate, wanting someone that would not dismiss them for not being human. Such a bridge is historical since the famous civil war that happens during the kingless years between the death of High Queen Yana and the arrival of the Chatwin brother and sister. Could this mark a new era for Fillory and all of its citizen?
Article on the right:
As we know now, the talking animals were the one that made a difference in the first election in Fillory to elect a High King. While advisor Tick Pickwick tried to go back to the throne he'd occupy for decades before the arrival of the Children of Earth, High King Eliot tried to gain back the trust of all his subject who lost faith in him. The campaign had started strongly with both sides offering viable promise and got fillorians into really talking about what they wanted for the future of the kingdom. But an outbid war of impossible promises and falsehood made most fillorian stop being interested in the political campaign. "If this is the kind of democracy they have on Earth, I rather not have it" Claimed Ewya, a seamstress in Brighthaven and avid partisans of High King Eliot. "It became a war of ego and not about what mattered" agreed Ber, one of the workers that had restored the Muntjack a few months ago (see edition 69 for more details). And as human started to lose interest, advisor Tick Pickwick show a transcript of what High King Eliot had said during his trial last month. Many doubt of his veracity since it was only until now that they have access to it while Pickwick could have used it from day one.
Meanwhile, in the Animal Pub in Barion, an ex-human-child of fairies and former spy for the Fairy Queen, Fray, listen to the talking animals who are wondering where should their vote goes to. Many think this is a human affair, but everything had changed when High King Eliot, Lady Fen, and High Queen Margo made an appearance to the small and outcast place. Fen and High Queen Margo. High Queen Margo took the time to sit down and talk to Humbledrum, the legendary Bear that protected the region against a Lorian invasion and had a questing beast rally to their side as magic was fading from the planet. ->
What the nobles would soon discover, is the love story between Fray and Humbledrum and the many implications it creates by making it public. "I was surprised by the lack of bad reaction from High Queen Margo" explain Humbledrum She was supportive and had valid questions for both me and my love security but she was kind and open to understanding what many people refuse to even listen. At this moment, I knew that if I wanted someone to rule, it was a ruler like her; she is fierce, never discouraged, powerful but most important, ready to sit down with us, talking animal, and listen to our side of the story. It was the first time I saw a human do this. (more in page 33)
