This weekend, we can expect temperatures to rise significantly in the East, with highs reaching the 90s to 100s extending into next week. Along with this heat, thunderstorms are forecasted to develop across the Northern Plains and northern Great Lakes from today into tomorrow. Some of these storms could be severe, featuring strong winds, heavy rainfall, and bright lightning.
