Surface Map: This morning's surface map reveals a stalled frontal boundary across the Southeast. This front has ushered in less humid conditions for much of the eastern United States, but that's set to change today as both humidity and temperatures begin to rise. We're expecting temperatures to climb back into the 90s once again. A cold front moving through the Great Lakes and into the Southern Plains will create conditions for gusty thunderstorms today. These storms could bring locally strong winds exceeding 40 miles per hour along with heavy rainfall. Behind this front, cooler and less humid weather will prevail across the Northern Plains. In the Southwest and southern Rockies, monsoon flow will persist, with afternoon thunderstorms potentially producing lightning and locally heavy rain. ☔️🌩️ #SurfaceMapUpdate #WeatherAlert #SoutheastWeather #HumidityRise #ThunderstormWarning #GustyWinds #HeavyRainfall #NorthernPlains #CoolerConditions #MonsoonFlow #AfternoonThunderstorms #StaySafe ⛈️🌤️
