What if eclipse was a humpback whale instead of an orca?
So many things would be different! For one, Eclipse would be more of a gentle suitor, and a lot bigger. He'd subtly give hints and steer Y/N in the direction he'd prefer, softly coaxing rather than demanding. Y/N would have a lot less anxiety with him. They'd also be able to see more interesting creatures to capture for their photography as his presence wouldn't frighten away aquatic animals.
He would be so delighted with how small you are and simply adore holding you when you let him, although he can't get on the ice like Orca!Eclipse can. Still, he works around that by being large enough that you can sit on his back and he'll carefully take you on a little 'swim' through the water without letting a drop get on you.
