Venom 2 got rated R in Hungrary for spreading gay propaganda
Sounds like something that would fit in your 2021 bingo card, right? Well, this isn't funny to us.
This is exactly the kind of basic human rights violation that many Eatern European coutries' governments can easily get away with these days.
Did you know that on June 15, Hungary's parliament passed legislation that bans any material that could be seen by minors and that features gay characters or any sort of support for the LGBT+ community?
This is one of many examples, free media are being actively destroyed by the government in Poland, there is a war still going on in Ukraine, unthinkable things are being done to people for fighting for democracy in Belarus and their lives are being threated at the Poland-Belarus border. And I know there are people, nations, minorities that still have it so much worse, but we really are in this together. If we don't stand up for each other and help each other out, then what kind of future are all we going to live in?
