*By the time Karn and Cindril make it to the Cradle's entrance, Apate is absent, likely still bargaining with the Architects. They wait for a few hours until Apate appears, covered in ash and mask a little singed.*
Karn, Cindril, before facing mother, we must set out a place of command in the Cradle, do not go straight to her.
