Lu Han hears the echo of Sehun’s voice ringing in his ears, and for once he wishes the awful noise would stop. But he can’t bring himself to tell it to stop, as Sehun’s disembodied voice keeps torturing him until Lu Han’s screams and cries grow brittle as he shakes with visible fear. He knew something was coming, he could feel it in his bones and his chest and he could envision the future more clearly without his friend beside him—which should’ve been impossible since Lu Han’s been picturing Sehun by his side since he was a toddler. Lu Han was just desperate for any kind of escape from this hellish nightmare- this curse that forever furnished him with the ability to see the future and beyond.

“Are you gonna be alright, Lu Han?” Sehun asked as he was standing behind the white line that separated the humans from the trains. “Seriously, if you don’t want me to go I’ll stay.”

Lu Han kept quiet and just shook his head, the pounding in his ears growing louder as his heart rate did the same. He wanted to yell at Sehun- he wanted to tell him that this was a bad idea and they should’ve just went home together. That they should’ve just forgot about the job application and saved it for another day. They should’ve just stayed together alone and not let anything touch them, not let anything hurt them because they were fragile and even though Sehun knew this too, he still wanted to leave.

As the stranger that Lu Han envisioned in his dream pushed into Sehun with such strong force, Lu Han could also see the panic on his best friend’s face as the lights that blinded them only a second ago was coming closer to the boy. Lu Han couldn’t save him, but all he could do was become more dreadful as he just wished for the nightmare to stop. As Lu Han brushed his fingertips against Sehun’s, he could feel the franticness in his bones and the fear in his skin.

Lu Han closed his eyes as he heard shrieks and screams sound closely from behind him. He squeezed his eyes tighter and he bit his bottom lip as he jammed his hands in his pockets, tears pouring down his rosy cheekbones as his broken voice got lost in the crowd. He reopens his eyes only to hear the bones below cracking and smearing across the underground as a paintbrush, his guilt swallowing him as he couldn’t do a thing. He could envision the future…

But he couldn’t do a thing.
