Night had fallen over the city of Seoul.
A taxi pulls up at the curb outside of the Huntrix Tower. A young woman steps out, looking up at the soaring building of glass and steel with a solemn gaze. It's too late to turn back now.
After paying the taxi driver, she walks into the lobby, her combat boots echoing on the marble floor as she approaches the receptionist desk.
The receptionist lifts her head, her gaze skeptical as she takes in the young woman. "May I help you?"
The girl clears her throat. "I'm here to speak with Huntrix." She spoke in an American accent although she was clearly pure blood Korean in ethnicity despite the platinum blonde hair.
The receptionist lifts a brow. "Do you have an appointment?"
"No. But I need to speak with them. It's important."
The receptionist's lips thinned into an irritated line. "I'm sorry, miss, but without an appointment-"
"Just call up and tell them:
"We are hunters, voices strong
Slaying demons with our song
Fix the world and make it right
When darkness finally meets the light"
The receptionist looked confused. "Is that a new song? Are you a lyricist for Huntrix? An aspiring songwriter, perhaps?"
The girl had to close her eyes and mentally pray for patience. "Ma'am, please just call them up and repeat those words to them. If after that, they want me to leave, I'll leave, I swear."
Maybe it was sensing that the young woman was serious and seemingly in her right mind. Or maybe fearing reprisal in case she turned away someone potentially important, the receptionist pressed an intercom button in her desk. "Hello. Miss Kang. Are you there?"
After a few seconds, Rumi's voice could be heard replying on the other end. "Yes Minji, I'm here. Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing's wrong miss. It's just...there's a young woman here to see you, but she doesn't have an appointment."
"Did she say who she is?"
"No, but she told me to tell you-" She looked back at the girl, non verbally asking to repeat the message. The girl told her, who then conveyed the words to the Huntrix leader.
Silence stretched on the other end for several moments before, "Send her up."
"Miss Kang?"
"Send her up right away, please."
The receptionist, shocked, simply replied. "Yes, Miss. Absolutely!" Taking her finger off of the intercom, she quickly pulled open her desk drawer and pulled out a thin card. "This is a guest key card for the Huntrix private elevator. Please return it before leaving. They will see you now "
The girl took the card. "Thanks."
She then made her way over to the sleek elevator just a little ways back from the front desk. Pressing the card against the card panel, she watched as the steel doors slid open, revealing a plush, shiny interior. She breathed deeply before stepping inside. The doors closed and the elevator smoothly and swiftly shot upwards towards the Huntrix penthouse.
The girl only had about a few seconds to gather her thoughts when the doors slid open again, revealing an opulent penthouse living area before her with an incredible view of the city.
And, turning to meet her, was the world famous K-pop trio Huntrix.
Not only them but, to her utter bewilderment, there in the living room, also stood the equally world famous Saja Boys and their manager Ty.
