i shouldn't think so much about how one of the biggest reasons hunter is how he is with carter it's because he used to be a lot like carter, excited about space and what happens behind the scenes and just wanted to go to space!! and after finally doing so he regrets every single decision that lead him to that happening, and now just wishes he could go back to just having theories about things
in other news, and before i fall asleep. let me remind you all, hunter is the happiest when he's being a teacher. he loves giving lectures, his life has meaning as a teacher. and he got that two times in his life, and both times he got pulled back into the stressful environment he desperately wants to leave behind.
