I used to be a Benedict fan but lost track because I got interested in other media and people.
I was browsing said media and people, when I saw a weird post about him and a "fake wife and kids". Do you or any other people who seem a lot saner to me know what's going on? And why they are spreading this shit? Because it seems to go further than the usual delusional fans. Not trying to stir things up so you can ignore this but I am SO confused.

Well from what I experienced this last few years what happened is that a few people don't seem to accept that Benedict fell in love, got married and had kids... 8 year after the facts. Most of them seem to have given up to be honest but unfortunately a select few still can't (I don't read their posts directly anymore bcs they made me too angry but from what I see there are especially 4/5 left, one of which just riles the others up in order not to lose face and whatever influence they have on the others). I don't think it's deeper that in other fandoms (read up what they say on Zawe Ashton, Joanne Tucker and their kids then let me know ...) nor especially original, but some of what they write is indeed vile and malicious, wishing Sophie harm and all.
