Constraints are not a problem added on top of life, they are what make life possible. A biological system exists because it operates within limits and actively maintains itself against them. This is exactly what homeostasis describes. Without constraints, there is no structure to preserve, no boundary to maintain, no process to regulate. Life is not freedom from constraints. It is a specific organization that arises because constraints exist and are being managed.
So the more accurate view is not “you are nothing,” but “you are a constrained, self-organizing process.” Desires, emotions, and thoughts are not foreign impositions, they are functional parts of that process. They can feel tyrannical at times, but they are also what keeps the system oriented and alive. Removing them is not liberation, it is dissolution.
The mistake is treating constraints as something to escape. Constraints are the reason anything exists at all. The life was born as the answer to constraints.
You do not suffer because you have structure. You exist because you do.
