by the way, I don’t know how many people know this, but if you’re in the path of the hurricane and you have valuables you can’t take with you when you evacuate, put them in your dishwasher if you have one.

dishwashers are waterproof, so they’ll stay dry inside until you can (hopefully) go back to retrieve them.
