Hush! (2001) // dir. Ryōsuke Hashiguchi
Re: the "i'm not human so i don't have to care about [x]":
the way i like to phrase it, is that while i am not human in any way, i am part of humanity by virtue of being with humans for all my life.
the way i should be treated by others reflects being a part of humanity.
the responsibilities i have while on earth (in relation to how i should care for myself, my loved ones, my community, and the earth itself) reflects being part of humanity.
the biases i have and mistakes i make also reflect being part of humanity & the continual process of learning new things, practicing compassion and fixing my mistakes , reflects being part of humanity.
i know it's not the life you wanted, but it's the life you have
