Propping herself onto her elbows at the sound of the voice, she looked up to see a boy handing her a water bottle. “Thanks. I’d really like a drink.” She replied, taking the bottle as she sat up and took in the boy in front of her. The relief she felt the second water slipped past her lips was much needed, it was cool and refreshing and something she hadn’t had all day. She had been out there for lord knows how long just kicking balls.
“Sorry if I’m taking up the field, I just wanted to relieve some stress, you know?”
“It’s fine.” He smiles, moving his backpack next to himself and stretching out his legs. “I’ve done the same thing loads of times.” He squints slightly when he looks up into the bright sunlight and he holds a hand up to shadow his eyes. “Whenever I’m having a rough week I like kicking the ball as hard as I can to let off steam.” His lips quirk in amusement. “Sometimes I even imagine my coach’s face on the ball too.”
Then he holds out his hand, leaning forward. “I’m Kim Minseok, by the way.” He meets her gaze with a slight smile. “And you are...? If you don’t mind me asking, that is.”
