{ I’m going away to Korea for a few weeks starting tomorrow and I probably won’t have time to do replies while I’m away. ( Maybe some short ones here and there, but definitely no para or gifs!) I’ll try to get through all the replies I owe people before I leave, but I’ll probably end up leaving some things for when I get back.

She covers her mouth with the back of her hand, stifling a laugh. “Pf– but… I’m personally a big fan of corny jokes, to be honest. The cornier the better.” She follows suit, leaning in as if she’s about to tell him a secret. “I’ve got one.” She whispers. “What’s the best part about farming?” She smirks, then continues. “Getting down and dirty with my hoes.” She finally lets out a laugh at her own joke, snorting. Meanwhile, she catches the man in the corner of her eye, who is now slowly making his way over to Minseok. As a signal, she slightly nudges his side with her elbow. “You’ve got company, farmer boy.”

“Yeah, I like corny jokes too.” He admits with a chuckle, turning eagerly to hear what joke the girl will tell him next and letting out a startled laugh when he hears it. “Hoes--!” But then he catches her next words and the nudge to his side, his face pales visibly. He would have been fine if the guy never came over to talk to them. Sighing, he turns to talk to the stranger. 

“So... you got my message?” The stranger smiles smugly and Minseok’s lips twitch into a frown. He’s trying to stay neutral so that the man doesn’t get upset or aggressive, but it’s hard to stay polite when he’s so repelled by the other’s actions.

“I did. But not only am I not interested, I’m also already in a relationship.” He keeps his answer concise, trying to end the exchange as quickly as possible as he holds out the napkin. “Here.”

Youngjae is restocking the aisles and it’s one of those times when business is just slow and quiet. The book store that Youngjae works at is small anyways so they don’t get that many customers really. It’s times like these when Youngjae breaks into song because there is no one around to tell him to stop or hear him. He’s not exactly the bold type that wants to be famous or an idol so he takes advantage when he gets time alone. Youngjae is singing pretty loudly and his body is moving with the music, not enough to call dancing exactly. It takes him a while to register that a customer is calling him because his earbuds are in. It takes a tap on the shoulder for him to jump and take off the earbuds. He apologizes when they’re finally off and away in a pocket. He’s stuttering as he speaks hoping that they didn’t see what he had been doing, “S-Sorry, how can I help you?” He smiles as he speaks trying to play it cool like he wasn’t singing and practically dancing just a moment ago.

Minseok is stocking books in the Hobbies section when he hears Youngjae singing and he shakes his head, sorting through several hardcover books about landscapes, trying to decide if they were more suited to Architecture or Gardening. (Why did the owner insist on having so many sub-sections??) After he finally decides to stick the whole pile in the Photography section, he picks up the empty box and makes his way back towards the register. But when he pokes his head out from the end of the shelves he sees a customer trying to get his coworker’s attention. He could walk over there and help but instead he hangs back, wanting to see what happens. 

The scene plays out just as Minseok hopes it would and he watches in amusement as his co-worker tries to recover his dignity, stumbling through the rest of the transaction before the customer finally leaves the store. Now that the customer is gone he doesn’t bother trying to hide his laughter anymore, Minseok makes his way back to the counter, laughing quietly. “Nice one.” He sets the box on the counter and gives his friend a teasing smile. “Good thing the owner isn’t here today. Saying that you were trying to give the customers a sample of our audio books was pretty flimsy excuse and I don’t think he’ll accept it a second time.”

He was walking into the grocery store. One ear phone in on ear and the other one out as he wanted to be caution about what he and other people were doing. But as he was grabbing a cart for the food he heard an voice talking but ignored it cause didn’t know that he was being talked to. But at the mention of the last three words he turns around and looks down at his butt. He sighed as he sees a huge green. “ what the hell..? What is this?

Minseok had just been heading to the grocery store to pick up some snacks for later when he spotted the other. He toyed with the idea of pretending like he hadn’t seen anything but it seemed cruel not to say anything. But it seems like not only did the stranger not realize that he had a stain, he also didn’t know where it came from. “Well... you’d probably know better than I would.” He muffles a laugh as he looks at the other’s confusion. Then he clears his throat, deciding to try to be a bit more helpful. “Do you want to tie my sweatshirt around your waist to cover it until you can get to a bathroom and take a better look at it?”

Minseok rolls his eyes at the childish jab, “Of course I’m worried we’re going to get caught. Because I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to try to sneak into a building in the dead of night. Why did I even agree to this?” He looks over at the window located six feet above them with a loud groan. “Is this baking competition really worth it?”

Luhan laughed and rolled his eyes at his friend’s attempt at retaliation. “Aish.” He smiled and pulled out a handmade flyer from his pocket and handed it to him. “Its on Sunday afternoons..is that okay?” He wiggled his nose. “We do really need help cause the other team we play with are really good since they got their new girl who kicks ass on the field..” He shook his head. “I’m not even kidding, she kicks a ball like is nothing–”

“Ah girl, huh?” It’s rare that he has a chance to play with girls since the soccer team he’s on is boys only and he’s a bit surprised to find out that the soccer group is co-ed. “Sounds interesting already.” He’s looking forward to see how she’ll play; often to prove themselves in a male-dominated activity girls work harder than boys and develop skills more advanced than your average player. He takes the flyer from his friend, looking over the information. “3 on Saturday, huh?” He catches sight of the location with a smile. “And it isn’t too far from school either. Perfect.”

She noticed him try to take a peek at the notebook. “I won’t write down anything weird, don’t worry!” she promised, then laughed and tilted the notebook towards her. She wasn’t going to write down anything that Minseok shouldn’t be seeing, but the action came as a reflex. When the other started talking, Sanghee wrote down the important points amidst trying to keep eye contact between her and the soccer player and nodding every now and then when she found what he was saying to be important, which happened to be most of it. “I see. A lot of people think it’s going to be a closely-matched fight, seeing how everyone’s looking forward to it.” Her sentence unwittingly ended with a poorly-veiled grin. She, too, was pretty excited about the game. “Do the publicity and excitement surrounding the game put any pressure on you or the team? I heard a lot of people are going to be watching this one. Rumour has it your rivals from Korea University are going to have a look as well.” She flicked the pen in her hand before continuing with her follow up question. “And if it does pressure you, how do you deal with it?”

Seeing her honest grin put him more at ease; it was nice to know that he was speaking with a fellow soccer lover. He was tempted to ask her about which team she was rooting for but before he had a chance to ask she had already moved onto the next question and he paused to shelf another one of the books as he chose his words. “It does put pressure on the team. But I think for the most part we’re used to playing under that kind of pressure and the coach does a good job of preparing us for every game.” He laughed, reaching up to ruffle his hair. “I mean, you’d have to be a superhuman not to get a little bit nervous from all the press and the expectations, but personally it just makes me even more motivated. If other people are expecting me to play at 100% then I aim for 120%. I set my own goals higher than everyone’s expectations because then I can keep growing as a player, even if it means I get disappointed along the way.”

Getting engrossed into the interview, he set aside the books for the moment, his face lighting up as he thinks about the upcoming game. “But we all deal with it in our own ways. Some players let the pressure wear them down while others use it to push them to improve. And as for letting out the stress... I’ve always found that kicking a soccer ball is pretty good for that.”
