He was free. Free of the expectant and questioning gazes of others within his pack. The wind flowed naturally through deep red fur as the creature feet pushed him further and further into the depths of the forest. This was his real home at least for now. Things were getting tight in the region. Humans and other creatures were starting to make moves and it was becoming more difficult to keep the boundaries of their territory clear.
The thought only arose as soon as an unfamiliar scent filled his senses. It was brief and delicate but there was no way Hwak could have missed it. It forced him to stop, orange eyes narrowed as he raised his head looking for the scent. Once he found it a low growl rumbled in his chest before he darted in the direction of the source.
‘Not today....”
