//Wanted to do a sketch Redraw, i don’t know if i ever posted this on the original blog, or if i only remember posting it on amino when i had one… at any rate, the story for this one is Ludwig needed a break, but couldn’t really get away from the Tech, so Uli offers him a light work vacation, “no one’s going to really bug you while you’re guarding the library space!” He even got it approved (mainly for possible alliance reasonings) “i mean, yeah the others are busy, but the most you’ll have to really worry about any active guarding is if someone makes it past all of the other guards! Which would certainly take a lot…”//

Would they build a pillow fort together just because? Uli x Ivan

The simple answer, Yes. Almost every time one spends the night.

The less simple answer is that there is a nuance between where they are at and how the fort is constructed. Ivan, undoubtedly pulls out all of the stops to impress Uli with his impeccable construction prowess, it is a very complex, comfortable fort, he scrutinizes his choice of pillows for maximum comfort.

And it always earns him the reward he wants, a genuine smile, a little bit of wonder, and the laugh he remembers from ages ago.

There’s always something disarming about the pillow fort as, despite the hard work to impress, all of that concern, the drive to assert dominance in the realm of billing polite forts melts away, as the two older nations lower their fronts to just play, no business, no worries, just a silly time to enjoy being alive.

If Uli is building the fort-

He hasn’t Really made a point to keeping many pillows around, but he has lots of blankets and quilts, so he’ll construct a nice warm tent and lay the pillows on the floor for comfort, he’s not got the same drive to impress, but he does make sure there’s snacks in the fort, no one wants to starve while making this comfortable garrison.

Describe their cozy night in. (Uli and Gilbert)

If it’s at Gilbert’s place, Uli insists on cooking for the household, it’s a must and he’s glad to do it, bringing Hylian spices, and herbs, as well as some special ingredients.

Though after dinner it’s usually a chill time once Uli and Gilbert get a bit of time alone, Uli enjoys humming and massaging Gilbert’s back (mainly for his reactions) if Gilbert decides to read, there are usually blankets pillows abound!

Though a lot of the time Gilbert will want to show a movie, a new favorite or an oldie but a goodie, usually an old guilty pleasure, a silly silent era film, or possibly one of the worst movies of all time, Rob snider as “the hot chick” ( there’s no follow through on watching this one however, as it is exclusively to get a rise out of Uli who’s seen it once before with Alfred and swore it off for good.)

They’ll usually fall asleep during the film if it runs too late, and like the old men they are, they’ll wake up achy in the morning from sleeping on the couch all night. But laugh it off over some good breakfast.

If they stayed over at Uli’s home.

Gilbert knows it’s mandatory to have a warm meal, fresh baked bread, and a bath before they get anything else done, Uli insists especially since the travel through Hyrule can be long and tedious since most transportation is pretty rudimentary.

But the soup, bread and warm bath always makes it worth the trip, and once he’s all cleaned up, dressed down in comfortable Hylian wear (supplied by Uli for comfort and to minimize strange looks from the locals should they go out) it usually devolves into warm cuddles and listening to the radio (it’s new) maybe dancing if a good song catches the fancy, star gazing, and talking about life, waxing poetic about how nice it is to feel small and finite sometimes.

Once it gets too cold to stay out, they’ll go back inside, and get ready for bed. Uli still instinctively goes to set up his cot downstairs by the oven before Gilbert reminds him that they can share (along with mild friendly teasing and snickers)

I wonder if we really will learn anything new about the zonai in botw 2 at any rate, here’s a possible design for a rep, who knows what they’re like at this point tho. I believe he’d be considered an ancient, alongside the other ancient such as Rome, germania, britania, Egypt and Greece? Who knows tho trying to work out a timeline is like trying to sort alphabet soup!
