Melody had always kept a watchful eye on Kurapika and his emotions. She was aware most of his emotions were on the sad side and being his friend, she wanted to help him find happiness.
Since she had met him, she had been asking Kurapika subtle questions about love and relationships to see his reaction and thoughts on those topics. His answers reminded her of someone very dear to her, her best friend, (y/n).
One day Melody had told Kurapika she had a surprise for him. He wasn’t really a fan of surprises, but he went along with it for Melody’s sake. Melody walked with him down to a little café on the corner of a busy street in Yorknew City.
After walking inside, there was a man sitting alone at a table in the back of the café. As soon as he saw Melody his eyes lit up, but when he saw Kurapika he instantly started blushing. Kurapika had high awareness of other’s emotions and instantly noticed the change in the man’s demeanor and softly smiled. They both sat down with (y/n) and after exchanging introductions Melody left, giving them time to get to know each other and connect.
It was no surprise that (y/n) and Kurapika hit off instantly. They had so much in common like their interests, views on the world, and feelings about life. The bond they had was unique and inseperable. After a couple more dates and finally opening up to (y/n) completely, Kurapika fell deep into love. This feeling helped ease some of his feelings of hate and emptiness and gave him more purpose in life.
Melody could see the positive change in both of her close friends, which made her genuinely happy. She had succeeded in her goal of betting Kurapika’s life and helping him find happiness.
