all done the hxh anime and aaaaaaaaa that bit near the end with killua and alluka and nanika ;_; anyway yeah! i’ll defo be reading the manga too but since i’ll wanna read from the start instead of just continuing where the anime leaves off i’ll wait a little while so i can forget things a bit and it can all be like new. i’m looking forward to where things go from here!!

the other day i caught up on the mp100 anime and hmm i like the series and intend to read the manga sometime but i think i enjoyed the first season better? and since i’ve been watching hxh too and been super into it it’s kinda hard not to compare my feelings for each, especially since they’re both so hyped up. so yeah hey maybe it’s just that i have a personal preference for more traditional shonen series! but. 

ok like. 

i know mob being OP is sorta the point but as gorgeously animated as that means the fights are it also means the stakes feel not all that high? you KNOW that even with some snags along the way he's gonna pull off something bananas p much every time, so idk i just found that kinda boring. meanwhile in hxh killua and gon are prodigies yeah but still fail a ton and have to work their butts off to keep up with the more experienced characters, so when they do succeed it’s that much more rewarding.

not to mention the lack of significant female characters lmfao. from how much people were talking about the mogami arc i was really hoping minori was going to be a more significant character, and i know emi wasn’t hanging out with mob for genuine reasons but idk it was still nice when she was around. and tome! give us more tome please. ofc hxh doesn’t win any prizes in that department either but it's not bad, like even though i badly wish biscuit got to look her age her joining the boys to make up a hero trio for the entire greed island arc was really nice, and there’s several cool female villains too, plus i hear killua’s sisters get more prominence later on so i’m looking forward to that.
