What would your character smell if they were to inhale amortentia?
The most prominent thing that Vladimir would smell is roses. His mother grows roses in their garden, and it reminds him of home. The next thing that he’d smell is the earth after it rains, followed by freshly baking gingerbread.
What are your character’s biggest secrets?
It wouldn’t be inaccurate to say that Vladimir kind of hates himself. He’s embarrassing. He’s average-looking. He has a strange accent and can’t stand to look people in the eye. Vladimir is almost always hyper-aware of how he presents himself in any given situation, which is why he tries to present himself as a tough guy. Besides, he’s the son of a living legend - he can’t let them see his weakness.
He also is terrified of isolation. He can handle some alone time, sure, but the thought of dying alone keeps him up at night.

When he was 10, Vladimir found a small cat in an alley in the village near where he lived. He scooped it up and took it home. He fed her some scraps and kept her in his bedroom. He did his best to keep her a secret but his mother heard the mewling. He was ordered to get rid of the poor thing, but his sisters came to his aid and pleaded with Viktor, insisting that the cat would be a wonderful addition to the family and “Daddy, she’s so small and cute!” and he broke, letting the cat stay. Vladimir named her Nevena, which is a variant of the old Slavic word ‘neven,’ meaning marigold, and since then Nevena has accompanied Vladimir to Hogwarts.
