In humans are space orcs, humans are always freaking out other aliens because it seems like they're baring their teeth when they smile, a sign of predators. However, we also have predators that do that.

Therefore I posit this: an alien tries smiling and every human in the vicinity has their hackles rise.

Love it when characters have such a good dynamic in canon that even when they aren't being shipped in a fic, it still feels like they're being shipped

Ao3 tabs are weeds. I spent hours whittling them down fic by fic, I turn around, and suddenly I have 10 more than before I started.

Everytime a character's emotions are turned off by someone else, but they keep their mind, they always betray their friends and family, but I propose: they betray the one that took their emotions.

Controller: But I took your emotions! You shouldn't be able to love them!

Controlled: I don't, but I'm better off with them. This isn't an emotional reaction, it's a rational one.
