I guess the reason my work on this fic is so hard is because THAT character is standing over my ephemeral ego with an ephemeral knife and saying something like

"I don't give a shit what you're doing slowburn I NEED to hold hands with her on the beach and kiss him on the top of his head for beating me at chess. NOW. And if you don't give me this, you'll never finish this bullshit. I promise."

Like, dude, I get it, I want that too, but I can't write one-shots with plot-critical moments to satisfy your tactile hunger.
