If they ever were to meet each other, I think Shiro (from Voltron LD) and Bucky Barnes would be able to bond just well over being weapons at the service of the enemy and having painful flashbacks... and a lot of regret...

I had this dream today where some people were looking for a person who would agree to have a metal arm like Bucky’s. I don’t remember was it just a super rich company which seeks  a volunteer or was it some program of the government but i agreed to undergo this operation. They made some tests before they’d do the operation itself - because duh, if you’re planning to cut a person’s arm off, you should do some. But I freaked out bc even that I knew about anesthesia and analgesia which I’d get during the operation, I was still afraid of the pain and just...loss of a limb which I’ve lived all my life with? 

There was a moment when I was wandering through the corridors and accidentally saw some male nurses (or somebody like that) threw something what looked like an amputated/torn off human upper limb, covered with muscles (did they pre-skin it or did it happen during the experiment?) into the container. Also, there was a guy who was sort of “the first attempt” of that experiment but his “arm” wasn’t finished and it had some places where there were no metal plates and you could see the wires together with the flesh. 

The most fucked up thing was that my family weren’t against it - and that’s how I realized it was just a dream because if in real life I’d decide to participate in such government program where they’d cut my arm off and replace it with a bionic one my family would probably kill me before I could even sign a paper of agreement, let’s be real xD So I quit. Instead of me, they took some model - a skinny, tall girl with long blond hair. She was so happy with her new arm. I remember I saw a sort of ad on a huge screen on the building with her telling how cool it was to have it and that now she could help the government and bla-bla-bla. I just sighed with relief that I quit before I could do some stupid thing.
